Advanced Practice Nurses are called to be leaders in healthcare initiatives and are uniquely prepared to implement changes in healthcare through program planning. This paper discusses an APN designed primary care provider educational program on tuberculosis in the foreign born. Recommendations are given to assist APNs in establishing similar programs.
