Abstract

Several forms of educational technology are presented in this paper. The focus is on the usage of the graphing calculator in the high school mathematics classroom. It shows how effective the graphing calculator's use was in comprehension of mathematical conics such as the parabola. It also discusses the possibilities of unique hardware such as the Tablet PC and interactive whiteboards. Useful software such as Microsoft's Power Point and Excel, Geometer's Sketchpad, and Inspiration are described. United Streaming and Explore Learning are websites that are also exemplified.
