Abstract

Leadership is a topic with universal appeal, and in the popular press and academic research literature there is much written about leadership. Despite an abundance of writing on the topic, leadership presents a major challenge to practitioners and researchers interested in understanding the nature of leadership. This project provides both a literature review on leadership theory and practices and recommended training programs on modem effective leadership, and how one can apply this to real life situations. It is intended for those who work in both profit and non-profit organizations. It would also be useful as a text in continuing education, service training, and in other leadership development programs.
